Since journeying to the South Pole in 2002, Chris has returned to the Polar Regions many times. He crossed the Greenland Icecap in 2003. In 2004, he was part of a first winter attempt to climb Gunnbjørn Fjeld; the highest mountain in the Arctic. In 2005 Chris went to Northern Sweden to train with arctic survival expert Ray Mears. In 2006 Chris and Australian Phil Hannam attempted a double crossing of the Greenland Icecap using kite power. In 2008, Chris joined North Pole veteran Richard Weber on an expedition that successfully crossed Ellesmere Island in the high Canadian Arctic. Chris lives in Melbourne, with his wife Gaye and helps raise five children. White Demon is his first book.
