Larry Writer was born in Sydney in 1950. He was previously a senior journalist and editor at Time Inc. Australia, and worked out of the London Bureau for two years before assuming the role of executive editor of entertainment magazine Who Weekly. Writer's background also includes roles at Australian Consolidated Press, and his current position as Fairfax's SundayLife managing editor. His books include Never Before, Never Again, Razor and his recent collaboration with tennis star John Newcombe on his autobiography Newk.
