A Pregnancy Keepsake is a journal that has been designed to be used as a diary for the expectant mother to record her experiences whilst being pregnant.
The diary begins at week 4 through to week 42, allowing room for those who go over their due date. It also includes a monthly update where details such as weight and fundus size can be recorded and a photo of the expectant mother can be included.
Throughout the journal there are quotes about pregnancy/motherhood and photos. There are also pages where one can keep a list of 'people to contact', 'gifts received' and so on.
Antonietta and Josie have been life-long friends. Being of Italian background, their mothers met in the neighbourhood as both their daughters attended the same primary school. Antonietta and Josie's friendship continued throughout their school life and was strengthened by the birth of their first children, both being girls and born only five months apart. They moved to Eltham in Victoria where their own children have become good friends and attend kindergarten together. Their second children, both boys, were born only two days apart. Experiencing pregnancy at the same time allowed them to help and support each other through the physical and emotional highs and lows.
